7-October-2002: Open Mic Night - Alistair's birthday.

As Al and Angus got up to do their 10 minute slot, Chris and Rob were spotted in the crowd, within seconds they had joined their old band members to try and remember the following songs: 'Memorabelia', Anything Goes' and 'Powertrip', hopefully this won't be the last time the band play together... watch this space!

15-April-2002: Open Mic Night, Power House, Guildford.

Well its been so long Al and I decided to play a few songs (Memorabelia & Anything Goes) at the open mic night, Chris couldn't make it but hopefully we will be playing again soon with Chris joining in! (Unfortunately no0ne is quite sure where Rob is - he was last spotted playing guitar in Taiwan!!!).

9-June-2001: See you at the festival.

Except we won't be playing (the first time in 9 years). Al may be doing a solo spot on the third stage. Chris will be playing if Mindwire are:  following the departure of their drummer he has stepped in to help out. I'll be there coz' I'm looking after Hip Slinky (headline Saturday, third stage). Al has now finished over twenty songs and videos to two of them have just been completed, hopefully we will be able to put snippets on the site.

25-June-2000: See you at the festival.

Yes, we have a gig. Following the trend of one gig a year we are once again playing Guildford Festival under the name Lazydog. Rehearsals are well under way and the warm up gig date will be posted soon (possibly in the Salisbury area). We will be posting sippets of the new stuff that we will be playing on the website soon.

22-March-2000: Beavers

Just a quickie to say visit the lazydog site at peoplesound.com (Click Here). There are several tracks to download and other misc. info.

2-February-2000: Sounding Good...

Well, we are deep in rehearsals at the moment and doing some informal lazy type shows at various places featuring anyone from the band that turns up, shouldn't be long before a full blown gig...

8-January-2000: hello, still here...

Happy new year to you all, if you get a subscription to Q then check out track 14 on the free CD. Its home brewed by us, and some of you may have heard it at the Guildford Festival last year.

26-October-1999: A rose by any other name...(5)

Ok, bit of a treasure hunt here. Look up www.peoplesound.com and browse through the top ten tracks. Anything sound familiar? Answers on a postcard...

14-September-1999: Hello

Bit quiet at the moment, anyway a big hello to everyone we saw at the Guildford Festival. Once again it was chilled as ever on the second stage, even though the gig was nearly cancelled as our accident prone drummer Chris had been hospitalised by a dog only five days earlier (sixteen stitches in and around his eye) and had to be led on stage. Still he went for it as he always does...cool. We hope to start gigging again soon but there have been some changes so you will have to watch this space (those people we met at Reading Festival will already know what we are talking about)

01-July-1999: Make Me A God ?

Rehearsals are well under way for the Guildford Festival as we get to grips with the new stuff. We are not doing any of the oldies but don't worry the new material is something else. The set so far will include new songs: Slo Blo, Make Me A God, Summer Dream, Excessive Living, Postcard, Good Time, Still Waiting, Wake Me, Vanitarium, Driving with my Eyes Closed, Windshield, Blameless Man, & Stange. Of  these we played Wake Me at the Guildford Ambient Picnic, and Strange at the Guildford Festival.. We will still be playing acoustically but more effects, a couple of keyboards, loads more guitars, and a few tape loops have been thrown in for good measure.

07-June-1999: MP3 audio...

I'm not sure how many people have downloaded the MP3 file of 'Strange', I'l  be taking it off soon so any comments on the next one to be put on the site would be welcome. Actually any comments about 'Strange' would also be interesting, so email us now.

23-April-1999: Why so quiet?...

Yep, it has been a bit quiet for the past month: I've been redesigning the site with ideas being flung at me from tthe rest of the band. Anyway we have encoded thirty five unreleased recent tracks into MP3 format, and some of these will be on the site soon. We have also just been booked for the Guildford Festival, acoustic stage, but times and day are not known yet so keep watching this space.

23-Feb-1999: Still in the Studio....

Well, we are still in the studio, the tracks are shaping up well and things have been hectic with Al (vocals/bass/keys/wierd shit)) & Rob (Guitars/keys/loops) burning the candle at both ends with to many all-nighters. Twelve tracks will arise from this last session bringing the total of recent, unreleased, new album stuff to fifty tracks. There are some fairly off the beaten path songs in there, and we will post a taster on this site in the next few weeks.

12-Feb-1999: Farnham Maltings- Skunkhouse Festival

We did't play coz we were all working at it! The electric stage I was looking after (I'm Angus by the way , I've taken over from Webmaster Andy since Christmas, but I haven't quite got the hang of it yet: although the spinning beer bottle isn't too bad)... had some storming sets from Hip Slinky, Mindwire, and Hotel Lounge. The event was packed and definately showed that there is a wealth of kick ass bands growing from around Guildford.

04-Feb-1999: Back in the Studio....

Yep, today we started to record the latest batch of songs at the recently refurbished .Backline Studios, lots of acousticy stuff, and much more. And can I take this chance to dispell the rumour that Redwood had split and reformed as a digital domain based dance music co-operative with several white label releases already doing the rounds......

29-Jan-1999: Daft Insurance Claim

Mmm, you always hear those stange insurance claim stories down the pub, and now its happened to us. Guitarist Rob Redwood got into his car last week and turned the key: foloowing lots of spluttering, banging and a strange screeching sound, the engine seized without the car moving an inch. Upon opening the bonnet he was greeted by the sight of cat fur spread liberally over the engine bay. An unfortunate cat had been asleep under the car and got caught up. Being animal lovers we were all considerably upset by this and would suggest that you all regularly check under your cars for any of our sleeping furry feline friends.

09-Jan-1999: Redwood on TV Shock......

Well almost.... Anyone up late last week, chilling in front of the TV, who might have thought that the tune accompanying lots of nutters jumping out of an airplane on snowboards was familiar, would have been right! The program 'Pirate TV' used the whole of our track 'Claustrophobe' (available on Colourblind, Cat.No. ALM CD43) to great effect. Cheers.

09-Jan-1999: Jingle Balls.....

And anyone listening to Johnny Boy's Wheels of Steel Radio Show on Virgin FM would be forgiven for thinking that one of his  jingles had a Redwood acoustic type vibe thing going on.. We'd forgotten about recording it in fact. Last march we did a session for Virgin and while rehearsing we had recorded a jingle for the man of TFI fame, little knowing it would reappear ten months later.....
